Amazon.com now selling flowers online

If you need a nice bouquet of flowers, Amazon has your back.

As noted by AllThingsD, the Seattle online retail giant is now selling flowers via the Amazon Curated Flower Collection under the “Grocery and Gourmet Food” department.

For now, your options are limited with only six combinations to pick from, with prices ranging from $28.92 to $41.02. Shipping is expedited to “ensure freshness,” and Amazon delivers Tuesday-through-Friday. The company also notes that it will offer an option to schedule delivery on a specific day in the future.

If Amazon can make sure its flowers are fresh and figure out a way to do scheduled deliveries, companies like 1-800-Flowers and ProFlowers have some new competition.
