All-Purpose Cleaner
A lot of all-purpose cleaners sold in supermarkets are filled with nasty toxins and chemicals.
If you want to keep your family safe from these toxins, then you can make an all-natural, all-purpose cleaner using lavender. Here’s what you need for the recipe:
1 cup of lavender flowers
1 or 2 lemon rinds
20 drops of lavender essential oil
3 cups of hydrogen peroxide or white vinegar
Then, here’s how you make the cleaner:
You can use either white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide as your base. Just keep in mind that hydrogen peroxide can be rough on the skin, so you should wear gloves when handling it
Place the lemon rinds and the lavender flowers in a quarter jar
Seal the jar and give it a good shake. If you’re using a metal lid, place a piece of wax paper in between the lid and the solution to prevent the metal from corroding the solution
Leave the solution alone for an hour so the lavender can soak into the hydrogen peroxide/white vinegar
Shake the jar on a regular basis
Infuse the lemon and lavender for one week if you’re using hydrogen peroxide and one month if you’re using vinegar
Next, strain the solution into a clean jar and keep it in a cool, dark place
When you’re ready to clean, add 2 cups of water to the solution
Finally, before using, add the drops of lavender oil and give the jar a good shake
