Online relocation service provider EZMove raises Rs 1 Cr angel funding

Pune-based online relocation services aggregator EZMove has raised Rs 1 crore in angel investment from a group of investors across Europe, US and India.

While the investors were undisclosed, a The Economic Times report suggests that the investors include industrialist Hemant Bharatram and Chicago-based Purvi Capital co-founder Ravi Srivastava who have invested in their personal capacity.

EZMove co-founder and CEO Anand Agarwal mentions that the funds will be used to improve its technology platform and to expand in the North Indian market. He claimed that the company has facilitated over 1,000 moves so far.

Agarwal and Vishwajeet Singh founded EZMove in August 2013. Apparently, the company has signed up more than 50 packers and movers and plans to sign up 200-250 more packers over the next 2 years. EZMove currently lists packers and movers from 11 cities, namely packers and movers in Bangalore, packers and movers in Pune, packers and movers in Mumbai, packers and movers in Chennai, packers and movers in Delhi, packers and movers in Hyderabad, packers and movers in Kolkata, packers and movers in Gurgaon, packers and movers in Noida, packers and movers in Chandigarh and packers and movers in Ahmedabad.

Website: Users are provided with two options on the homepage – Move Home or Move Vehicle. Following this, the user can enter their tentative shifting date, the source city & the destination city and other details like property type (apartment or bungalow), floor number, presence of elevator and whether the user requires packing, unpacking, loading and unloading services.
