12 booked for assault

The police have booked four persons and their eight unidentified accomplices under Sections 452, 323, 148, 149 of the IPC and Section 25 of the Arms Act.

Complainant Madan, a resident of Hisar, alleged that he works with a packers and movers firm on the Bhabat road here. He stated that on the night of August 26, he, along with 4 others, was loading a truck in the godown area here. Around 10.30 pm, Vijay and his accomplices, who were armed with weapons, barged into the godown and started beating him up and his colleagues. They also vandalised the property of godown, Madan said.

The complainant alleged that Vijay pointed a pistol at one of his colleagues. The suspect, along with his accomplices, then started beating them up.

Madan said when his colleagues tried to save him, the suspects also beat them up with baseball bats. They later fled away in a car bearing Haryana registration number.

As per preliminary investigations, old enmity is stated to be the reason behind the attack. After recording Madan’s statement, the police have started a probe. — OC
